Content Strategy
Paradox Coffee Roasters
Content plan, October to December 2026
Nine pieces of content over three months, built on the keyword research from 26 August 2026. They aim at the searches where Paradox can win new customers, not the ones it already wins by name.
The opportunity
The research found four unbranded clusters in the Australian market, and every one of their pillar keywords has an Ahrefs difficulty of 7 or lower. Those four keywords alone come to 6,200 searches a month (Ahrefs estimates): cold brew coffee 2,400, best coffee beans 1,900, coffee subscription 1,500 and wholesale coffee beans 400. Paradox's search traffic today is almost all branded: in August 2026, nine of the ten searches that brought the most clicks from Google contained the word "paradox" (Search Console).
The plan
| Month | Asset | Type | Cluster | Target keyword | Volume | KD | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| October | Coffee subscriptions | Service page | Subscription | coffee subscription | 1,500 | 7 | Rewrite /pages/subscriptions |
| October | The best coffee beans in Australia | Pillar | Best coffee beans | best coffee beans | 1,900 | 1 | New page |
| October | The best coffee beans for espresso | Blog | Best coffee beans | best coffee beans for espresso | 1,300 | 5 | New post |
| November | Cold brew coffee guide | Pillar | Cold brew | cold brew coffee | 2,400 | 0 | Rewrite /pages/cold-brew-coffee |
| November | How to make cold brew coffee | Blog | Cold brew | how to make cold brew coffee | 450 | 12 | New post |
| November | Wholesale coffee beans | Service page | Wholesale | wholesale coffee beans | 400 | 1 | Rewrite /pages/wholesale |
| December | The best coffee beans in Sydney | Blog | Best coffee beans | best coffee beans sydney | 450 | 3 | New post |
| December | The best decaf coffee beans | Blog | Best coffee beans | best decaf coffee beans | 150 | 0 | New post |
| December | The best coffee beans in Brisbane | Blog | Best coffee beans | best coffee beans brisbane | 350 | 0 | New post |
Volume is monthly searches in Australia and KD is keyword difficulty, a score from 0 to 100 for how hard a keyword is to rank for. Both are Ahrefs estimates recorded in the research.
Where each cluster lands
We checked each cluster against the live site's pages, collections and blogs on 29 September 2026.
- Subscription.
/pages/subscriptionsalready carries the offer: pay as you go at 10% off every order, pre-paid plans of three, six or 12 months, gift and office subscriptions. We rewrite that page around "coffee subscription" rather than create/pages/coffee-subscription, which would compete with it. "Coffee bean subscription" (450), "coffee beans subscription" (200) and "specialty coffee subscription" (150) are the same search in other words, so they belong on the same page. - Best coffee beans. There is no buying guide on the site today, so the pillar is new. It will live at
/blogs/guides/best-coffee-beans-australia, in a new Guides blog on the shop. "Best coffee beans australia" (1,200, KD 0) is the same intent and belongs on the pillar. "Best coffee beans for cappuccino" (150, KD 0) becomes a section of the espresso post rather than a thin page of its own. - Cold brew.
/pages/cold-brew-coffeeis already a "Cold Brew + Infused Coffee Guide", with ratios and methods for the Hario and Toddy brewers. We rewrite and expand it instead of starting a second guide at/blogs/guides/cold-brew-coffee. "What is cold brew coffee" (250), "cold brew coffee ratio" (90) and "cold brew coffee beans" (90) become sections of it. - Wholesale.
/pages/wholesaleexists, headed "Partner With Paradox". We rewrite it to answer "wholesale coffee beans". The other five wholesale searches, from "coffee beans wholesale suppliers" (400) to "wholesale coffee beans australia" (150), are variations of one search and share that page.
Why this order
October leads with revenue. The subscription page sells something Paradox already sells, and a rewrite is the fastest page in the plan to ship. The best coffee beans pillar goes alongside it because it is the largest cluster Paradox can realistically win, and the three December posts need it live to link back to. The espresso post is the cluster's biggest spoke, at 1,300 searches a month.
November is cold brew, timed to be live before summer. That timing is our judgement: the research records 12-month averages, not seasonality. Cold brew has the biggest single keyword in the research, and Paradox already sells ready-to-drink cold brew cans, coffees roasted for cold brew, and the Hario and Toddy brewers to make it. Wholesale goes in November too. It has the smallest search volume in the plan, but one café account is worth many retail orders, and the page already exists.
December is for spokes. By then both guides have had time to be found, and each post links back to one of them. Sydney is where Paradox roasts. Brisbane is a KD 0 search, and Paradox delivers Australia-wide. Decaf maps straight to the Colombian decaf Paradox already sells.
What we are not chasing
- Coffee subscription melbourne (250, KD 9). A Melbourne page needs a real local reason to exist. Paradox roasts in Sydney, and location pages are not part of this plan.
- Best coffee subscription australia (150, KD 6). People searching this want several brands compared. An honest comparison needs checked facts about competitors, and a roaster naming its own subscription the best is not credible.
- Specialty coffee (700, KD 48), coffee roasters sydney (400, KD 57) and coffee beans online (450, KD 36), set aside in the research. The first is dominated by a competitor's brand, the second is won through Google Business Profile rather than content, and the third can wait until the easier clusters rank.
- Two searches worth a second look. The research left out "cold brew coffee maker" (2,200, KD 1) because Paradox did not appear to sell equipment, and "coffee pod subscription australia" (200, KD 1) for lack of evidence that it sells pods. The shop does sell both: the Toddy Domestic Cold Brew Coffee Maker, the Hario Cold Brew Pot, and a coffee capsules and pods collection. We recommend refreshing the research before the next plan so both can be weighed properly.
What success looks like
Paradox's Google Analytics and Search Console feed our monthly report, so this plan is measured on Paradox's own data rather than estimates.
- Searches without the brand name. In August 2026, nine of the top ten searches contained "paradox". Success is the planned keywords appearing among them.
- Clicks and impressions from Google search. The starting point is 1,239 clicks and 43,464 impressions in August 2026 (Search Console).
- Visits from organic search. The starting point is 1,434 sessions in August 2026 (Google Analytics).
New and rewritten pages take time to be found and ranked, so judge the plan on the trend across several monthly reports, not the first one. Keyword volumes and difficulty remain Ahrefs estimates.
